There is a conflict between security and safty regarding electronic locks. In reality electronic security doors should always failed unlocked if there is any risk people could be trapped inside in a life threatening situation. Just imagin a gas line blows within the building cutting power and setting a large part of the strucutre on fire If the doors entered a failure state locked then everyone in the building could very well die in a fire as a result. There are ways to work around this. You can have doors fail into a lock state provided there is never a risk this would result in someone being traped, for example if you only allow people into an area while the door is open and it can't be closed while people are in that area. I could never lock closed while someone is inside so a failure state defaulting to locked would be fine. You could also have a mechanical opening system on the inside so people can always exit through a door regardless of failure state. Corse the obvous solution would be to add some kind of battery backup to the locks to avoid power failure, but they would still need to fail into a safe state in the event the battery runs down or they are damaged by for example, a power surge.

The laser thing is interesting. you only see it at the points because that is where it spends the most times and our eyes have a certain.. "refresh rate" or the rate at which our eyes and brains can process images, so we only see the laser beam on the points where it intersects with the lines because that is where it spends the most time.. Old video is old, but if security door electronics were to fail or get interrupted and the response was to keep the door shut - it would be the opposite of fail safe and could lead to death in case of an emergency. A fail safe door would open when interrupted and let people pass through in case of emergency like fire or natural disasters. Not as secure but would also not kill everyone inside the building - a much better design imo.

In order to use an external wireless adapter, you need a specific driver, built as a linux kernel module for ARM (in rare cases like asus phones - x86) processor and manually inserted in your kernel. The guy in the video didn't do any of this, so this is fake af Now, you *CAN* use an external wifi adapter in your android phone, but you need root permissions, a cross-compiled driver and firmware files all set up specifically for your phone. This requires knowledge and experience with linux, it's not as simple as plugging in some random wires. Even in the case of a working adapter, your operating system needs to know what this is - same as you learn how to drive before you can actually use a car. This is why you can't use your hardware unless you have a driver installed for it.
