Is an extra wifi 6.0 card for my pc compatibel with wifi 4.0?

What internet provider and what service plan? Its the most important thing. You are NOT going to get upload speed like that with a new router, it's an ad. 10gb internet is more than first world, it's absolutely ridiculous future bs and 100% of viewers will not have access to that, this is mostly likely a business plan or a fiber plan only in select small areas with no actual plan to roll them out to the rest of anyone not in a SH city.

When i need it i will get it. But i will probably need it in my next life. Maybe not. I purchase my first wifi router back in 2002, that was when i knew it was important, while most people have not even heard of wifi. But these updates are not necessary.

Nice! I use to work for a few different isp's. Every now and then I'd run into a customer with their own wifi6 mesh router setup and it's about the same as shown here. 600-800 Mbps on ookla (on a gig internet plan). Obviously after seeing it for myself I went straight to the store and got my own. Totally worth it.

Its driving me insane seeing those uploads on fiber connections. In Hamilton, ON we only have 1gb fiber to the node which gimps our uploads to 30mbps up and 945mbps down. I don't see any plans to roll out fiber to the home either to solve this issue.

Interstingly with the dongle comment at the end. I frequently use a USB C - Ethernet dongle at work and I am never able to saturate 1Gb. Testing the dongle on my laptop its fine but not close on Android. I figured its either the support of ethernet on Android or the phone simply isnt supplying the dongle with enough power. Oh and I have tried several different brand dongles

I hope that this fixes the interference crap you get at apartment complexes. There should be in the future use of a band that allows wifi units to broadcast and coordinate their wifi bands so they don't collide by accident.

So, not as much benefit until most of my devices are wifi 6. How will this work when other wifi signals are AC or even N in an apartment complex?

Makes me question my couple years old Netgear Orbi and if the speeds my iPhone 12 Pro shows to be accurate, if your WiFi6 is not as fast as I expected, but my network only host 40+ devices max simultaneously. I currently get 900+ down 550+ up 😅

Long time Meraki Admin here. The only time IT teams usually get the kind of budget needed for WiFi upgrades is when an office is slated to be overhauled (~5+ years). Meraki rushed the MR55 to market before it was ready. The MR55 only supports OFDMA on the downlink, less than 12 months later they announced the MR56 which had full support. Meraki knew they had the MR56 coming but didn't tell their customers so they could peddle their pre-release hardware on folks. Luckily we didn't outfit an entire office with the MR55, but we did order a few to test. That combined with the MS390's software issues, and an overall decline in account management and support have really strained our partnership with Meraki.

Also Cisco Meraki is an amazing product but the licensing costs ridiculous. Ruckus has better pricing and offerings for Wifi 6 in my humble opinion. When Ubiquiti finally comes out with Wifi 6 then I would switch to them. Less features but damn good Wifi with no licensing cost.

I am able to get 528mbps down and 566mbps up on my Samsung S10 connected to my Ubiquiti AC Lite connected at 866mbps. I have GB internet. Wifi 6 is obviously much better for all the reasons mentioned however if you have a properly deployed AC wifi network, it can still give very decent speeds.

It's not ONLY about internet connectivity. you can access resources on your network at those speeds. think about streaming 4k video to multiple devices via a on prem plex server with zero buffer delay over WiFi.
